Under the auspices of HRH Prince Al Hassan bin Talal, Jordan Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP) organized an event for honoring donors and contributors who have supported the charity – financially and through volunteering efforts – from the date of its inception and for the past 28 years. The event was held on Sunday, 30th September 2018 at the Landmark Hotel Amman and was attended by HE Hala Lattouf Bsiso, Minister of Social Development; HE the Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates, Mr. Matar Al Shamsi; HE the Ambassador of Kuwait, Mr. Aziz Al Deihani; MAP Board of Trustees and Management; Chairmen and Directors of donor corporations and banks; as well as MAP contributors and affiliates.

The event witnessed the delivery of award plaques by HRH Prince Al Hassan bin Talal to the contributors; among whom was Jordan Commercial Bank for the platinum category, owing to the support provided to MAP by the bank throughout the years and its contribution to fulfilling MAP’s objectives – namely serving Palestinian refugees at camps in Jordan. The award was received by Mr. Michael Al Sayegh, Chairman of JCB.

MAP efforts and initiatives involve providing primary medical services – including screening and treatment of underprivileged patients – through medical centers in both Jarsh and Hitteen refugee camps. Screenings are provided at nominal prices for all patients in need. MAP was able to access some 1.6 million patients to date, thanks to the generosity, loyalty and dedication of its Management personnel, physicians, nursing staff and technicians involved in the provision of high-quality medical services and continues to rely on the generous donations of sponsors and contributors to be able to provision such services.
